Anyone been to Raven lately? Are the bass spawning yet?

Going strictly off history for the last 10 years or so, raven is post spawn right now. I know there was fry everywhere with bucks guarding like 3 weeks ago.

Post? Already? I'm headed there Saturday. Thinking about targeting the warmer water in the creek channels and coves in the NW part of the lake. Any suggestions?

I was there last week. I couldn't buy a bite and neither could the five others I talked to at the ramp. Crazy! Six boats pulling out nearly at once and everyone said the same - not a single nibble.

I was there Saturday, and the bite was very slow. No nibbles until I tied on a wacky rigged june bug senko. It was still slow, but I managed to pick up 2 decent fish. No one else was catching much either. Part of the problem might have been that there was an overabundance of shad. Whay would they hit what I'm throwing if they're already bellied up to a buffet?! Also, they released about 3 feet of water Friday night. Apparently, they're not quite finished with the damn project. So I'm sure that left the bedding areas high and dry. So the fishing was tough, but it was still a great day on the water. Even saw a bald eagle!
