I guess it was the cooler weather but the water temp has dropped about 5 degrees and it was enough to turn the bass on. Very good bite this morning up till about 10:30 and then they pretty much went on break. No real big fish but lots of 2 to 3 pounders. Believe it or not they were on the hot water side of the lake in 94 degree water. Best bait today for me was a t-rig worm (motor oil w/chartreuse tail)and I'd follow up with a SPRO Rock Crawler. On the cold side of the lake I found a few crappie starting to come out of their summer hiding places. Caught some 11 inchers on brush piles in 14 fow with Bobby Garland shad in Blue Ice and 1/16 oz. jig head. Action was a little slow but when they decided to bite they would thump it hard. Only fished till noon but it was a good trip.
To whom much is given, much is required.
