I fish Proctor regularly for catfish. I've been doing very well on large Channel cats when the wind isn't blowing like a hurricane. I'm not catching numbers like in Summer time but the size of fish are making up for fewer numbers. I only fish on weekdays due to the floatilla of pontoon boats jug-lining on the weekends. I must have found a baited hole last week. I was marking fish so I dropped a bait along the rip-rap of the dam. Every fish I caught was stuffed with peanuts. I've never heard of anyone chumming/baiting with peanuts but it obviously works! All the fish I caught last week was on Danny King punch bait and J-Pig punch bait 3' under a slip float in about 8' of water. On sunny days they are moving up real shallow over a gravel bottom. Good Luck! fish
