I wanted to test out my new tm's gps anchor somewhere small and local so I went to Sheldon. I started with a spinnerbait and wasn't getting hit until I shined up my blades with a micro fiber towel. Caught a dozen small ones then moved on to a tree line. Hit the anchor function so I could thoroughly hit the cypress trees(which was amazing a so stress free for a change) and pulled out a 4 pounder. Caught a few small fish after that then moved to a hole I found in the middle of no where. Threw a carolina rig with a gambler flap daddy and immediately hooked up with a bass but nothing real big. However, these fish fought harder then river bass for some reason. Just mean! Looked at the sky, decided to fish closer to the ramp and caught another nice fish. After that I headed to the ramp and chased schools of shad for a while that were being pushed up by 8 inch bass apparently. The anchor function is so awesome. I am pretty good without it but I can tell it'll help me a lot in the future. Hope all is well! My pics keep posting sideways for some reason so I gave up. Have a great day.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Thanks for posting, I installed my new Powerdrive yesterday and plan on installing the gps option today then off to Costco tomorrow for batteries. On board charger should get here tomorrow as well.. Really looking forward to increasing the boats usefulness. Then we are off to Whitney in September.
