We went last Wednesday. Marked alot of sandbass, but they didn't like our slabs much. We did manage some decent stripers on the slabs in front of the State Park.

Top water bite is still good early am for largemouth, caught a 5 this morning. Sandies have been schooling early and late. Spoke with one man who was catching Stripers on live bait below the sandies, he had just finished cleaning 20 of them, assume he was a guide. Weather is hot and so is the fishing here.

Anyone know if any of the ramps on the river are open? Hamm creek? Chisholm trail? Kimble bend? Nolan river? Plowman? Or any others? Looking to launch a small Jon sometime this week Also do you know the condition of the river? Is it navigable going upstream from Kimble bend due to debris from the flooding? Thanks for any info!

After the rain we got and are getting today, things may be closed for a while again,

I'm on other forums that deal with the old turbo powered Buicks.;)

I was killing the whites and stripers until this last patch of rain hit. As soon as it started raining they stopped biting. I'm going out today to see if things have changed.

Never been to Whitney and going in a couple weeks. Any tips or areas would be appreciated.
