I went to Purtis creek yesterday for the first time and just wanted to give anyone wanting to go an update on the lake. The bass are biting, the people next to me were catfishing with live bluegill and they kept hooking bass that was 3 to 5 lbs. I also saw someone catch 2 undersized crappie off of minnows, so the fish are starting to bite. As for the water, I'm not sure on the temperature, but it was pretty stained and you can see maybe a foot in.
