North/northeast winds had me looking for a little shelter on the north side of Caney Creek in the three coves near the main lake. Managed five bass in the 1-1.5lb range and lost two. Most of them caught on watermelon Wooley Bug t-rigged in about 1-2.5ft. of water. Mostly casting to the grass and working back to about 15ft. from shore. Middle cove had the most action. Nothing spectacular, but better than nothing.

have you done any crappie fishing? I just did a trip to Conroe after 4 years of not fishing there and I have no clue where to start anymore. any help would be appreciated.
