Spent a few hours fishing the lower Sabine river today and the bass were schooling. Last few outings I have been riding and looking for schooling bass or large pods of bait fish before stopping to fish. Today they were chasing bait up on main river channel points. I did best with a small RC square bill crank bait. Hit three areas including a lily pad field all north of IH 10. Also caught some on Texas rig and wacky worm. Some of the schooling bass were good keepers which is pretty rare on the river.

If I ain't fishing, I ain't happy.
But mostly I'm happy.
I love being retired, the check is in the mail.
