Its a tradition around here to hit the ponds after the big dinner and see who in the family can catch the biggest bass. Last year a 10 pounder hit the decks...but that was topped by this 12.5 pound 27 inch Hog this year...the largest bass ever taken from my ponds topping the previous 11.5 pound record.

For awhile, it looked like the 7.5 pounder would be the winner (shown last) but the big one easily passed that as shown in the hands of a former starting college offensive lineman...who was happy indeed.

Great job Larry. So rewarding when you put so much time and money to grow them!

Bob Lusk once asked which was more gratifying...to catch a big bass or to grow one.

Without hesitation, at the time, I replied "to catch one", but honestly, I've changed my views on that, Steve. Thanks for your comments.

Both are nice fish. Question, why blank out the faces? Just curious.

I posted those right after my relative left Texas...and I hadn't had a chance to ask his permission. Seemed like the polite thing to do.
