Anybody running a newer Merc fourstroke ? My issue is it seems like mine is shifting into gear rough just wondering if I got a problem. JD

Just a guess basscaster but it may be idling too high rpm's to shift smoothly.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

Just a guess basscaster but it may be idling too high rpm's to shift smoothly. Wonder if it is a linkage problem or does it have to go to dealer?

Thought that might be issue going to go start it see what rpms are at at idle

Easy to adjust the idling if that's the problem but if it's under warranty I would let them do it. Have to take the cowling off to get to the set screw to adjust the idling. Just make sure it has warmed properly, remember it's just like a car engine.
