Just looking for opinions, its not a bad price but noticed the transducer is huge. Has anyone had any problems with it?

I have one mounted on the trolling motor and love it. Just be aware that it does not have or accept any type of map inspite of what they tell you at Bass Pro. You can mark way points from side or down scan and go back to on blank map screen. It is fully automatic changing sensitivity and depth ranges, and distance that side scan shows by depth of water. It can not be synced with HDS unit on console. It does not come with instruction book, but is loaded on unit. I had to call Lowrance to find it. Transducer does not want to mount on trolling motor, but after 2 day fight I built one that is bullet proof.

Actually the hook 2 triple shot can except maps. I have one at the console with the navionics chip. The regular hook 7 cannot except any type of maps. I learned this because I originally bought one with the intention of putting it at the console but took it back to bass pro and got the triple shot. It's definitely a good little graph and if you buy it with the navionics package it's only 50 bucks more than the normal price. The transducer is really big, but so far I haven't had any issues with it taking any sort of damage.
