Never been there and I'm gonna check it out on Sunday. Is the lake generally safe to run? I did a search to try to get a few tips but not seeing much from bass anglers. Anyone know the lake and willing to help a bit?

Probably because not a lot of bass fisherman fish Lake Turdwell. I wish I could give you some tips, but my only tip would be to go to another lake.

There is bass there. My biggest tourney sack of my life came from Bardwell. First time fishing it.
I thought ....MAN WHY HAVE I NEVER FISHED THIS LAKE?!!! So I bought a year long pass. I fished it three times after that. Zeroed every time. Haven't been back since.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Year long pass? Do you have to have a permit/ sticker to fish there?

no permit, but you do have to pay to launch. There is a hump north of the bridge where we have caught fish and I know fishing around the "marina" is not bad as well.

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!
