 Camelot Bell Big Girl on a WINDY Day!!

Had the opportunity to take a buddy to CB today. The wind blew 25-30 from 9 am till dark. I got rewarded with the beautiful 10.50 early this morning. If you haven't thrown a Finch Nasty Thumper you need to. I figured if it was good enough for a Lake Fork SAL it should be good enough for CB. These things are LEGIT!!  Lost a True Giant about an hour after boating this one but it was on a Mag Fluke. Sometimes no matter how well you prepare & how good your equipment is they just come unbuttoned.  Hard to be too bummed any day a DD comes aboard.

Ken, I'm happy for you. We all know CB has giant bass swimming around most corners and that it cost a few bucks to go there. I'm plain honored that you entrusted my lures to help you trick and land one of those giant bass on your trip. Thank you for sharing the photo.

A lot of people don't know all of the thoughts that go through my head when I build a lure, but I can tell you that the fact that someone could hook their fish of a lifetime is top of mind. It would sting me as much as the angler to know that a component failed on a trophy bass. I'm fortunate to have Lake Fork as a proving ground and to get a few big ones to bite lures during the prototyping phase.
