So I went to Granbury for the first time today and I caught 1 tiny fish. What is typically done out there to catch fish? I flipped and skipped several docks and cranked a few areas. Do the fish stay shallow out there? Thanks in advance for any tips!

Generally shallow. Spinnerbait, Chatterbait, square bill & Tx rig. I went the other day out there. I stayed on the move & finally ran into a big wad of fish on secondary points 2/3rds the way back in the creeks.

Thanks, James! I'm going to give it another try next weekend.

We catch them in shad colored rattle traps and square bills, Ned and wacky rigs in watermelon colors but some were using white and strawberry last week. I caught an 8.2 fishing with minnows at the entrance to a creek in about 5 feet of water last weekend while fishing for crappie which I still havent found. We catch some massive stripers up in the trees too. My son caught a 4 and 6 pound largemouth and then next morning a 10lb striper in the same area. Also, VERY important to use the channel buoys and stay close to them. If you have a map, follow closely. We were just idling and bumped up against a branch of a huge tree in 30ft of water with no hazard markings. Luckily, we were only at idle speed but itll wake you up quickly. Im sure theres other ones out there which are much more ominous.
