You won't be the only one heading to Rayburn. Maybe a few High schools also.

Thanks, Billy

Seems like high schoolers are there every weekend. Had a high school captain idke between me and another boat during champs last weekend while we were waiting for first cast. We were about 40 yards apart. Of course there was 100 yards to the bank both sides but he was determined to go between us and beat us to the back of a pocket haha. Teaching them right...

From what I have witnessed the last 2 years it is happening everywhere. They will cut you off in a heart beat. Had a high school team on Cedar Creek come across the cove and fish the same dock I was fishing. Even through over my line. The boat captain said nothing. The sad part was they were just pre fishing. I was fishing the Ram Open and fishing for $5K.

Make sure you have your Ultrex. Its a game changer. Also, make sure you have your Lowrance graphs updated with Fish Reveal. Thats also a game changer.

Go find some spawning flats and swing for the fences. You will prolly catch a swamp donkey. Dont forget to go eat at The Stump while wearing your Ultrex remote AND power pole remote.

Oh, and be sure to wear your jersey during practice.

Well, I would say there are a lot of bass to catch and they seem larger than previous years. I have a house on the lake in Veach and I just fish "my cove" with a canoe. I keep catching bass instead of the crappie I am targeting on Road runners, and some big ones (largest was 3#). I was there for two months and didn't get to fish a lot but the bass are everywhere. Of course I went on days when it wasn't blowing hard, raining and lightening or all three, so 3 times I fished in 2 months. The fishery is in good shape.

Good Luck and tight lines.

Did anyone else see the 6 boats following each other all day? I assume it was high schoolers laying down trails. Just thought it was funny seeing 6 boats in a line on tournament day. First time this morning coming North out of the Canyons and 2nd time this afternoon up North of Hanks.
