I love fishing lizards, creature baits, and weightless 4in super flukes (watermelon red) when I can see them on their beds. Flip in near the bed, let it sit, twitch, twitch, BAM! Those lizards will [censored] them off!! lol

What Donald said, if you can see them you can't beat a short drop shot

Tough to answer with so many variables to put in play but if I can see them, a 1/2oz black and blue jig is my go to almost every time. I'll mix in other baits but that is the one I'm usually removing from their lip once I catch them.

Floating lizard on a shakeyhead. I will use a fluke also but lizard first. Have never really thought about a drop shot, going to have to give that a try.

I love to Fish a jig but with that short drop shot with a 1/2 oz weight I can put the bait in front of them and shake it like crazy without ever moving it out of the bed

About 6 to 8 inch is what I use and a 1/2 oz weight so you can work the bait without moving the weight

if bed fishing, and the water is at least a foot or so, a Rouge, Long A, or Rapala floater with a big 1/2 oz egg sinker in front flipped into the bed. then just run that thing up and down into the same spot in the bed. really makes them mad!!!!

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

If talking actual bed fishing, doesn't really matter. It's who's using it that usually matters. Any small creature bait works best. Something they can't grab a leg and swim off
