How is navigating conroe?
Taking my fiancé out for our spring break Monday-Friday and I have never been out there. I just want to be safe and was hoping to get some info on the stumpy areas/shallow areas.
Thanks

Where are you launching from? South of 1097 is pretty clear, just have to watch out for any shallow areas. North of 1097 you have to be careful. You can run north but you’d need to follow someone to get a track, at least I’d recommend you do that.

What he said.

Here is a link to the Conroe hazard map too.

It’s a good guide line but still a good idea to follow someone anywhere north of Peach Creek.

Hope this helps.

Just stay south of 1097 (long bridge across the lake) and you will be fine.

As many boats as are out there day to day, you will learn where you can and cannot run. North of 1097 you have to hug the west bank going up until the islands then shoot across to the east side until you get to 1375.

There is an area close to the Holiday INN that is marked as a hazard area. Just be careful in that area, there’s a buoy there also.

Thank you guys so much!
Were on the pontoon this week, left the bass boat at home.
If y’all see a black pontoon out there south of the 1097 bridge y’all feel free to stop by and say hey. Odds are you’d get a beer out of it
