Well it is getting that time of year we are all waiting for “The Spawn”. Although it is not here yet the pre spawn can be very productive to catch a trophy bass. There are fish starting to move up in the North ends of the lake but don’t expect consistency because the weather is changing so much. Sometimes you just need a little patience this time of year and really fish an area hard. I like throwing chatter baits and jerk baits this time of year. Another good choice is of course the rattle trap in Red. The water is changing every where and water temps are moving up and down. I have found 50 degree temps here lately in 4ft of water. There is an abundance of grass this year. If you are looking to educate yourself or just need a little help with lake fork then I hope you call and book a trip with me. Guides typically start booking up in March and April and I have a few openings. Don’t wait to long. Good luck out there on the water and be safe and be courteous to other anglers.
