Forgive me, I know this has been on here a few times, but my search brings everything except anything about Costas up. Can anyone tell me where the discount places were to purchase new Costas?? Thanks in advance..

SteepandCheap.com. Generally older styles but same quality. Much lower prices though. I bought a nice pair from them for less than $75 brand new and that includes shipping.

Most of those "deals" NEVER seem to be models with 580G lenses (the cadillac from Costa). Most are the much lower performance (and discontinued) 400G technology. Costa offered both a long time to provide a lower price-point for those who choked on the 580G price, but now they've dropped it.

Costa maintains tight controls on all legit retailers. Dealer agreements don't allow discounts I understand. Be careful where you shop, as you could end up with counterfeits no better than wallyworld Foster Grants. It happens a lot on popular branded merchandise.

Steepandcheap.com is a legit discounter. Sunglasses are just the tip of the high end outdoor products they sell, including top of the line fly fishing gear. While true the 580's are not on the site often, when they are the deals are amazing. My green mirror Hamlin's were $98.00. After the first pair, I had them verified at the Costa booth at the Classic in Tulsa. Since then I have bought 2 more pair - one for my wife & one to keep in my car.

And if Costas aren't you thing, they also discount Smith Optics, Oakley, Revo, Nike & quite a few others. Being a discounter, inventory changes often, so you have to check often as well.

Just took a look - there are more than 30 580G's - with over 20 less than $112.00.

SteepandCheap is the outlet arm of backcountry.com. Nothing shady about them at all. I have bought lots of gear from them over the years.

That's unusual for sure (having so many 580G models available). I took a look, and getting a green/copper (what most of us want) is still not easy.

I got a notice that they're on sale. As mentioned, a lot of the 400G/P versions, but some 580G models here.

Got my 580G green mirrors on eBay for $170 a few year ago. Brand new, still in box.

I bought some 580p's on steep and cheap a couple months ago for $36. they run some killer deals once in a while but they don't last long.

I was going to purchase Costa glasses also from Steep and Cheap till I read these reviews.

No bashing just an FYI, you decide.

Not bashing, but there are a total of 29 reviews on there. Not a very big sampling. I've never heard of that site. You'll have more than 29 positive reviews of S&C on here by tomorrow. Add me as a satisfied customer of theirs.
