Just wanting to know how safe this lake is to run. Are there areas to watch for?

oh goodness yeah there are a ton of areas to watch out for.
the very lower end of the main lake and the west side of the main lake are pretty clear.
on the east side of the main lake all the way out to the middle in areas there is timber.
the south arm running back toward duck cove is decently clear at this level.
the north arm of the lake there are stump fields on either side of the middle
main lake north of the bridge a few miles you get into some stump fields

You need to get a good map, marked to show timber. And pay attention to the depth of humps and points on the map. Several points in the main lake extend a couple hundred yards into the lake. Even after you study the map, keep close watch on your depth as you are running. Some areas
can go from 30 ft to 5/6 ft in the blink of an eye. Twak is definitely runnable. Just be smart about it and err on the side of caution while you are learning.
