I have the custom cover for my skeeter and almost always have it covered. Just moved and now have to find storage for my boat, whereas it was able to be parked in my drive way before.

Would you, or do you, just pay for an open lot to park your boat in a storage facility? Or do you make sure it is either covered, or completely enclosed?

For me, it will either be just an open space at $65 a month, or completely enclosed for $130. Both facilities are very close to home.

Covered parking - more expensive, but no worries about excessive rain, heat, snow or hail.

Uncovered parking - Be sure you put a small bucket on the main deck or any areas to prevent the cover from collapsing from excessive rain or snow. I did uncovered parking for about a year before I went ahead and forked over the extra money to get covered.

When all else fails, make another cast.

The fully enclosed storage is worth the difference.

I wouldn't even consider not having my boat fully enclosed.

I currently have my boat in a fully enclosed stoarge with electric at Amistad. (I have a programmable timer on the electrical outlet for my charger) When its not there its in my shop or if I didnt have a shop I would pay for another storage. I am anal about always storing my boats indoors.
