I doubt he had any issues. All about the money and power tackle being a local south texas company cant pay the big money shimano can. Power tackle rods are amazing. He must have been offered something too good to pass up.

I just spoke with Judy owner of power tackle rods. She said it was a big company verse a little company type deal and they could not offer what shimano could. The company will continue to offer the best customer service and rods that they can! Thanks for the support!

money and big deals. its the nature of the beast at that level. Power Tackle continues to make some of the best rods in the market, rods you can fish with and have confidence when you set the hook. I would own nothing but power tackle if I had the funds.

So, my guess is they offered not only products but some cash flow as well. It's always about the money isn't it?....

100% about the money. He's moving to a mass manufactured rod with a third of the quality that Powertackle Rods are built with.

That being said... Can't fault him. Money talks.

Pretty simple streamlined decision. He was already using their reels. Probably got offered a fair deal to make the switch, and how anybody can blame him for that, is beyond me.

These guys are not just fishermen. It is a business decision for the future. The elites can dominate with a 100$ set up or a 700$ set up.
