Got a pass from the Mrs. for a two day fishing trip. Time for me to explore some other lakes. Thanks for the input on Lake Raven all who replied. I'm gong to try it out Tomorrow and was thinking about fishing Livingston on Saturday. IF you were to fish Livingston, where would you feel comfortable launching from and what part of the lake is best for bass fishing? Base camp will be in Coldspring.

Best place is anywhere midlake. Then I would put the boat on the trailer and go to a lake that has some fish in it. I think they should dynamite the dam, drain the lake and plant cotton there. At least it would be put to better use. But again this is only my humble opinion banana

I would trailer around to Kickapoo and launch right by the bridge. Go North under the bridge put the TM down and start fishing in any direction you want. The run into the actual creek is hairy if you don't know where you are going(or even if you do sometimes) but there is no reason to get on plane if you don't want to. Spinnerbaits, squarebills, jigs and t-rig. Livingston gets a lot of hate but there is a bunch of fish up to 3lbs in the lake and they aren't hard to catch.

I have actually posted this before I think, shows the route into the creek from the bridge roughly. Use this at your own risk, not a lot of room for error around the dog leg.

its all good. Kickapoo is marked south of the bridge. And some good fishing in that area. u should catch some good numbers fishing docks and wood in that area. The rip rap can be very good this time of year.
