What's your opinions on this line?
I've talked with several Pro's over the past couple years that swear by it (and most are sponsored by Gamma).
The finesse line is bad to the bone, you couldn't hardly break the 7# test.
It is much more expensive but they say it last much longer, therefore the cost difference is negated in the long run.
I have been using invizx and haven't had too much trouble as long as I change it regularly.

Went to a seminar back in 2005 and listened to Scott Suggs talk about quality of fishing line. A few of the guides at Lake Fork say it's the best. Gamma Edge- Suggs was using this back then and recommended it. It is on the same level with Seagar's Tatsu line as for performance goes. It is expensive, but look into buying it in a bulk spool of 1000 yards in lieu of the 100 or 200 yard spools. It will pay for itself. You can get em at Southwestern Parts off of Mockingbird in the 1000 yard spools, if they don't have em in stock order them from there and have it shipped to your house. Gamma has a rather small distributorship, and they won't let you order from them direct. It's a shame Tackle Warehouse won't sell the 1000 yard spools either.

I've used seaguar invizx for years but wanted to give the gamma a chance. I had a problem breaking it off so it reaffirmed that invizx is the line for me. I tied the same San Diego jam that I always tie with invizx as well.

I use Gamma all the time and the one and only time it broke on me, I deserved it. Pretty sure that big ol' bass is still laughing at me about that one.

We carry Gamma in the store here at Oak Ridge and I can special order whatever you want. Just give me a call...

Gamma Edge fluorocarbon is very good line.

BUT you need to compare the diameter of the different fluorocarbon lines. Gamma Edge 12# diameter is equivalent to Sunline Shooter 16#(and most others). So if I wanted 15-16# line then I would be buying 12# Edge.

Gamma Edge is about in the middle of the feel vs manageability & stretch.

Spoke to a couple guys that use it but not sponsored by it and they love it. Says it is bad to the bone. I'm almost done with a 1000 yd spool of 17 Invisx. I'm gonna give it a try.

I stopped in at Oak Ridge and picked up a spool of 10 and 16 to try.
Went to Lake O the Pines today and used the 16 on a jig rod. Didn't catch anything on the jig but I did like the way it cast.
Like little gazoo says it is larger diameter than invizx. The 16 is more like 20 and the 10 is like 12.

which is why it's "stronger". Haha. Not comparing apples to apples. I use InvizX 20 pound on 11 of my reels. It is easy to cast and straightens out hooks vs losing baits and tungsten weights.

One of the strongest fluorocarbon lines made.
