Boy are these rods starting to make me mad. 11 white ice rods and all but 4 have some type of repair. Broken reel sets, repaired guides, repaired tips, or completely replaced. The 4 that are fine are less than 6 months onld and rarely used.

Heck I would sell em all and start fresh if I could even make 1/2 of what I have in em!! Maybe it's just time to bite the bullet and switch to Dobyns or Mega bass!!

I bought one. Used it one trip and sold it. Junk in my opinion. 1 trip, kept loosing fish due to the actions being way lighter than stated, busted the epoxy on 2 eyes inside rod box and setting hook. I hated that rod.

If you can afford it try a Power Tackle. Best rods I've ever fished with.

I almost went with Ducketts when I bought rods. I ended up with Abbu Garcia's and have never had an issue. The more that I hear about Duckett, the more I am glad of my choice

Funny this post comes up today. I have a Micro Magic that I bought 1 year ago and used it once because it was way under-powered for what I bought it for. I used it last night for only the 2nd time in a year, and the reel seat is stripped and not holding the reel. I think I'd have to pay $40 for Duckett to fix it, and it's not worth it. Junk.

I must be in the minority because I love my Ducketts. They are all ghost and the actions are heavy and medium heavy action and they do have softer action then most rods but I absolutely love it especially when fishing crankbaits. Never had a rod guide or seat malfunction and I've been fishing these rods for years. I also have a few Gloomis and Kistler and I love my Ducketts just the same.

Couldn't agree more. Once I work through these that I have now, never again. The guides are pure junk and cannot hold up to much at all. I've got micro magics and ghosts. Wouldn't buy another Duckett rod on a bet.

I bought one at a pawn shop with a Abu Garcia Revo SX on it for $60. I use it for top water and I haven't had any issues it but it's only been a couple months. Everything else in my rod locker is made by Kistler. I really like my Kistler rods.

I am in the dissenting opinion here. I have fished Ducketts since they first came out, and the thing that keeps me coming back to them is customer service.

I had a couple of micro magic rods that I had broken or bent the eyes on due to stepping on them or whatever. I contacted Duckett, and they sent me enough new eyes to replace all of them on two rods. They didn't charge me a dime. Then, when my local rodsmiths wanted to charge me $10 per eye replacement, I contacted Duckett again, and their response was: "no problem, just send us the rods, and we'll take care of it." So, I did. I paid for shipping to Alabama, and that was it. About a week later I had both rods back with upgraded stainless eyes free of charge.

Also, my stepdad broke the tip of one of his in the door. All he had to too was send the butt of the rod to Duckett, and they sent him a brand new rod, no questions asked.

So, I'm sure there are problems with all rods from time to time. But, for me, it's how well the manufacturer backs their product. Thus, I'm a loyal Duckett customer.

Just my two cents.

I quit buying Ducketts because of customer service. I had a rod snap on the hook set in one of the eye wraps. I called Duckett and they told me to cut off the butt section of the rod and send it with a $15 check for return shipping. I did that and have never heard from them again. I left several voicemails and emails all of which were never returned. Im out $15 and never got the replacement rod.
