 Lake tyler advice

I have a tournament there next weekend and I dont know a thing about the lake. I normally fish Palestine so I'm a shallow cover and docks kinda guy.
I'm not asking for your secrets or hot spots just simply basic advice on the lake this time of year

i can usually pull a couple keepers off the island in th morning, up in the grass, but havent been out there in about a year. if its sunny id be fishings docks.

^^^ what he said because I'm supposed to be fishing a tourney on Winnsboro but if the one youre fishing is an open that a heck of a lot closer

The UT Tyler bass club is having our annual UT vs. TJC tournament but its just open to teams from either of our two bass clubs.
