Does anyone know what the fish are doing on lake Livingston? I have a small club tournament this weekend and I haven't gotten to pre fish because I've been in Louisiana for a Flw college event. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You must be on the Aggie Anglers...

Almost everyone from the club stays in the Kickapoo Penwaugh area. Be careful running this area, there are a ton of stumps.

There used to be a few of us that went down south and caught some decent fish.

So far as fishing, its a muddy shallow lake... Fish boat docks and beat the bank.

watermelon magic brush hogs throw on top of stumps, docks. If you want to fish kickapoo, get there early, it will get packed.

Fish don't move much on Livingston. I'd Imagine the bridge in Kickapoo will be a hot spot this time of year.

I fished Livingston a lot in the past, and this was one of my favorite times of the year. I've hammered them in the morning after a Teal hunt with a small cold front. If we have another cool snap they will go to the bank. They are never too far from the bank, but they will move up to the first couple of pilings of the docks, or even on the bulkheads and breakwaters. The good thing on Livingston is that it's so muddy that it can last all day long. Flip a small bug, slow roll a 3/8 oz blade, or whatever you want, but they can be real shallow. You will have to slow down and go behind the docks, but it can be worth it. Keep in mind a 12 lb. sack can win, and a 6 lbs. is a giant. Brian make a good point - don't set the hook in practice. There isn't that big of a population, and they don't really move.

Good luck.

Didn't do amazing at the tournament. When it ain't your day, it ain't your day. Stayed in Kickapoo creek all day, had the potential to get a top 5, but it just wasn't my time. Thank y'all for the input, it really helped.

Come on Ag, give us a little more details. What did it take to win? What'd you have? Did Josh win? haha. Sometimes if nothing broke, you didn't hit anything, and you didn't fall asleep driving home, it's a win.

The lake is tough till it cool off a little. BTHObama.
