We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?

6.98 was the last check for 25th place, not sure what won. Tons of dead fish though. We caught a ton of fish.

A lot of dead fish? Stand in line for over 30 minutes with your fish in a bag and what do you think is going to happen

I'm glad they at least ran with it after I asked if we could keep them in the live well while one of us stood in line... They said they will be better prepared next year. Hopefully, they will be.

It is for a good cause and I hope they don't get bashed too terribly much here.. but it is obvious changes need to be made before they host this event again. I'm sure they got an ear full today so I'm sure it won't be forgotten. Staggering flights in the future should be considered to avoid a big line all at once.

With that said, thank you very much to everyone that helped put this event together and donated their time and efforts.. I know it is not easy.

I know two guys that fished and they said they conceded their fish was dead. Losing a few unders isn't a big deal. Black eye at best and goes to a good cause.

I would not call a tournament where most of the field had fish to weigh in a suck tournament. A suck tournament would be like the free Gambler event in the spring where 2 fish won a check.

I think they were over whelmed with the number of entries.

Next year that whole situation will be different. You can take that to the bank.

Yes there were a lots of dead fish due to the long lines. But the good news about that was that none of the dead fish brought to the live release boat were wasted. All were iced and filet and will be eaten.

Congrats to the winners. Who won the truck and boat?

Great turnout and the fishing was off the charts for me and my Brother David Haas! We had to cull a fish about 1 pm that was getting weak with a smaller bass. Never could recover that weight on the water leaving us with 6.88 then lost two in the weigh line which did suck. Great tournament for a great cause and I promise they will adjust to correct the weigh in issues next year. David has provided them the weigh in equipment for 10 years. David and I fish this as a team and it is a great time for brothers to compete together. It looks like it may be time for he and I to stop fishing at 1pm and become the weigh masters!
Thanks to all who fished and since I know this thread will get a lot of looks.

Shameless Plug: September 24, 2016 Lake Fork Fall Season Opener go to www.jcoutdoors.com and check it out. The fishing is on Fire!

The weigh-in line was way too long when we arrived at about 2:40pm. When we joined in line, we immediately got proactive and grabbed an empty tea jug from the food line and filled the weigh bag most of the way up. Took about 4 trips to the boat and lake but we got-r-done. All our fish were alive when weighed in.
I am sure that they will have a much better process going to next year. Live and learn.
This tournament is for a great cause and I wish them success in the coming years.

Well one thing is for sure Mark, you and David have the experience. I would definitely incorporate assigned flight times.
