I've heard about there being boat lanes at the lake. I've only been up there a few times but didn't see any signs of one. We saw about 3 people go the same way going through the trees on plain. Does anyone know where they are located?

There aren't any cut boat lanes on Roberts. Just lanes folks have learned to run, where we hope we don't hit a tree.

Back in the early 90s I marked trails with reflective thumb tacks.
Before day light we could fly up Isle do boies ,wolf & Indian with our spot lights,
looked like a freeway. once you have found a safe route ,you to can fly !
Havin fun....

Yep, the best bet is to go a few times with someone that knows the lake. But to Dannie's point, we're just hoping we don't hit a tree in places we think are OK to run.

It was a lot easier before all the trees started breaking off. I had trails I could run into most creeks. Now I have a harder time running the north end of the lake since I never took the time to mark way points once I finally got GPS.

Most lanes a lot of us run are good at any level unless its literally dry ground.

agree, but someone that doesnt know the lake well might find a trail at the current level and try to run it 3ft low and find out its a good place to run.

It is ever changing with the fallen timber over the years and fluctuating lake levels eeks peep
