I was thinking about going to Fish Lake Athens at Night.. I have never been on the lake but thought there might be Hydrilla.. Any updates on the condition of the lake and whether night fishing is a good idea..

No hydrilla just lots of milfoil. The bite should be decent but it hasn't been the best lately for me.

It has been slow for the past three weeks, water temps in the low 90's. I was hoping for a good trip last weekend after the rain, but nope it did not happen. I had a friend find a small area holding fish last friday night, dead sticking senkos in 10 to 12 feet of water. but they only caught seven.
If you look hard enough you can find hydrilla, but it is mostly milfoil and eel grass.
