My Interpretations (Green bait/Red fish)-

Larger view- https://i.imgur.com/UPKxTHi.jpg

Images 1 and 2 were within a cast of each other, I assumed those giant clouds were bait with plenty of what seemed like bass under. We were able to boat about 20 between the two of us on c-rig/dropshot/tx rig in about 1.5 hours.

Image 3 we took on our way in for dinner and didn't get to fish, but I feel like it would have been another productive spot with a good mix of bait/fish.

Image 4 seemed like a great isolated boulder with fish on it later in the evening, but we covered drug plastics all over that thing with no bite.

No clue what 5 is.

6 seemed like a gigantic wad of bait with some scattered fish around it, seems too large though, not sure.

I've been really trying to learn my electronics, but it's hard to really see and verify you are thinking about it correctly when you don't have anyone with experience around to help out. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of San Antonio bass anglers around that I have met so far, I'm sure I just need to look harder though.

Thanks,
Wes

Yes, there does not seem to be many. What lake were you at?

5 is most likely a small tree/brush.

Sounds like you had a great trip, you saw fish and caught them. Not much for you to learn if you can do that consistently. I would figure out if the lake is a spot lake or a pattern lake. If it is a spot lake similar areas as place you caught fish may not hold fish as well as that one area but if pattern lake they will be there eating. Also would figure out where to put the boat on the good area and the what angle, or more clearly the cast that gets bit most of the time on that spot. That way you don't have to go over the fish with boat and you can sneak up on them which may lead to a/bigger fish. Great job catching fish that you saw on the screen. Did you take pics of any of them? I would love to see the size compared to the return signal on the screen. Question were you able to feel the brush/tree or boulders that were shown above when fishing? If so good job being able to go back and hit those. Not very easy for me to do unless using a marker buoy. There more people have never caught fish that they saw on the sonar screen then people who have, especially black bass.
