What's more productive : Boat placement or Flipping on target . I watch lot of Bass Anglers fish my dock , most cannot position boat , lack flipping skills but sure can hit my dock with boat and bait .

I like to really work a dock. I might make 4-6 throws depending on how the fish have been biting around them that day.

Approaching a dock from the left I usually hit the corner near the bank 1st.
Then down the entire left side of the dock.
I will throw past the right corner towards the bank to hit the right corner.
Then down the right side of the dock to ensure I hit the entire length.

Again this all depends on how the fish have been biting on docks during the day and they type of dock.

Where is your dock? I'll just tie up to it and walk around dropping my bait until I'm happy. Haha.

Most docks where I am are floating ones. That means they usually have cables coming from them going to land so that plays a lot into it. And then how close the next dock is to it plus what kind of wind. So I'm thinking first to make sure i can get back out without tearing everything up. Some cable are under water and some can be 1'-4' out of water. So you have to plan ahead to fish in and know what your wanting to fish to not spook any by banging into anything.
