If you are fishing any kind of cover you can trash the 30lb braid, go up to at least 65lb...

You may want to upsize that line if you are fishing heavy vegetation or cover.

50lb braid is what I would consider the minimum. 65lb would be preferred. You need to be able to get a really thick hook to penetrate the fish's mouth, and often muscle them through a bunch of grass. I've snapped 50lb braid on the hookset before, no way I would risk using 30lb when fishing a frog. 30lb is great for drop shot on a spinning rod though

I know this hasn't been mentioned, but I would use 65lb braid... but besides that, you have a good working setup.

That's a good rod for the money, but I like the 7-6 better.
