Fished today from 6 am to 11am.

Had a great day, haven't been to Bridgeport in 2 years and fell back in love with it. Used to fish it every day when I was in high school 10 years ago. Boated 37 fish. Most fish were typical Bridgeport fish 10-12". Had a few slots and 3 nice overs. Big fish of the day would've been a 4lb smallmouth that I tried to lift and had a weak spot and broke him off.

Started the day in 5-6' willows pitching a santone 1/2" rattle jig (can't remember the color but mimicks a blue gill) with double z trailer.

Once sun got up high I moved to some docks, and caught quite a few there.

Tried to fish some deeper stuff I've used in the passed but wind was pretty bad out of the south. Managed a few on Carolina rig in 18 fow. The thermocline is doing something I've never seen on that lake so may want to stick to 20' and shallower for a bit

Going again tomorrow and have a back seat open

Here was the bait I stuck with most of the day

Good info. I love that lake when it's got water in it.
I just started fishing there a few weeks ago and can catch plenty of 10-12" fish in the 5-6' willows. I can't seem to catch much over 14". Maybe I'll try the docks and some deeper water. Thanks for posting.

That's a beautiful jig Clark. They look like strands of living rubber.

There are willows up the river as well. I fished up around Wise County Park, Wednesday evening. Several willows/green bushes in the water.
