I will making a trip to Lake Travis this Tuesday through Thursday. I've been on the lake just not for fishing. I'm looking for any advice on; what patterns to look for, depths, lures, colors, locations...basically any help that will help me get some in the boat. I will be launching at Lakeway Marina.
Thanks in advance for the help.

God Bless!

My go to bait on Travis is a smoke grub on spinning rig for numbers. Start at bank and walk it down the ledges. Head south out of Lakeway marina past crosswater marina and pull into hurst creek. It's all there. Shallow, deep, ledges, brush and grass. I live in Lakeway and have a place at Fork. Good luck. JD

Lake just caught a ton of new water and is falling fast. I'd concentrate around brush on points and also fish bluff walls. Keep it simple. Topwaters early and a Tx rigged baby brush hog during the day. Shakey heads and flukes are always good too.

Had decent luck fishing deep diving cranks before the crazy water levels. Along bluff walls with T rigged worms too. Drop Shot will put fish in the boat you spot suspended as well.

As for spots, bluff walls and creek beds work well for me

Champ, unless you have a boat already in the water better check on ramp openings. As of a few days ago all ramps on Travis were closed. Haven't seen any reports since last Friday, but would be a good idea to find out before you make the trip. The lake was up 11' last week, but dropped to 5' high as of this morning. Good luck. I just moved down here so let us know how you do!!

I think the lake opened again on Friday. Not sure which ramps are open though.

Five, I have checked with Lakeway Marina & the ramp there is opened, thanks for the reminder. Guys I really appreciate the advice. Hogbus I'll be hitting up Hurst Creek Tuesday afternoon when I get there, sure sounds good.
What colors have you guys had the best luck with. As far as soft plastics I have just about every combination that includes watermelon & pumpkin, these are the colors I've found to work best where I usually fish.
Guys thanks again for the help!

Let me think. Summer time, 2,347 boat docks on the lake. Got it! Good luck. banana
