Fished this weekend from first light to about 3:30. Caught 19 Bass and several small sandies. Started out throwing yellow magic which they were very aggressive on for the first 30-45 minutes. Then it seemed like they would just slap at it and miss it after that. All the fish early were small. Switched to a small fluke and caught some more small ones. Later in the day started pitching a finesse jig and partner was throwing a worm and we started catching better quality fish. I will say all of our quality fish came from the dead stickups not from anything green. We had a lot of bites on the small stuff later in the day but nothing was really taking it the bites on the jig and worm were slow but quality and the fish usually took it.I would pick up the yellow magic in the afternoon and throw it awhile and finally paid off with a vicious strike from a 2 1/2-3lb fish. It about scared me to death but that is the joy of topwaters. Hope this helps.

You may be better off posting this in the 'Freshwater Reports' section. But nonetheless, great report! Nice work at getting on some fish. Sounds like you enjoyed your day! thumb

Nothing wrong with posting about bass fishing in the bass section. Good report. Guess his mod application got turned down.
