I sure thought after being on the east side of their territory for the past several years they would try to find a location more centrally located. Evidently no one in that direction wanted to pony up the money to make it happen.

I would say so also but with the elites having been to Orange twice it wont be as much of an unknown.

Me and partner have fished all the events for several years and will not be participating. Bad location imo. Texoma would have been a much better choice the way it is fishing. This is a total head scratcher

No matter what venue they pick there will always be people who have fished it and like the location and people who have never fished it and think they do not have a chance at that location. No way to make everyone happy. It is good that they changed locations. I would not like the champ being at the same place every year. It would favor just the people in that area. I dont fish basschamps just the opinion of an unbiased observer

Just curious what is it that you dislike so much about this location.

Looking back at the Red River, I don't expect the weights to be lower at the Sabine than they have there.
2015-13lbs/day won & 7lbs/day got a check
2014-10lbs/day won & 6lbs/day got a check
2013-9lbs/day won & 6lbs/day got a check.

From Orange you are less than 15 miles from Delta Downs & right at 30 miles to Lake Charles and 3 more Casinos. So it can't be the nightlife you are mad about.
