I talked to a game warden today about an issue on the water. We were sharing a point with another boat. We caught 3 fish and they moved over to our area or casting line. They had to big motor over if that tells you our separation. Long story short they go over my line in their boat. I catch an 8 from under their boat. I asked them to please be respectful and not cross my line anymore. They just kept doing zig zags over it and I got it all on camera. At one point the man yelled "who do you think sank the brush you're fishing ?" I told him I didn't care and that I was filming him if he continues drive over my line. Then they went and got another boat and came back out and did same stuff. Warden told me this is common when people fish off shore tournaments but what they did is harassing an angler. He can run their tags and punish them I guess ? Do I follow through and seek justice or was caching an 8 from under their boat good enough? What would happen to them if I tell the warden I want to "press charges"?

Wait until he starts fishing the spot and return the favor. Then get out a anchor and pull up his pile

Give the Warden the video and let him do his thing. If the video is that good they most likely will make a plea deal and you won't have to testify or even show up in court.

Just let it go. If you press charges then he is likely to destroy the brush pile. It seems to be a great spot for you. You might share the video with the Warden and he may give the guy a call with a warning. He will thank twice before doing something like that again, knowing that you gave him a break.

Although Wardens are very busy and is not likely to do anything unless you do press charges; but you could ask.

I sent it to my guide friends and they didn't recognize boat or the guys. The point is a common spot that always has 3-4 boats around it and a tree line not "brush".

There was a guide even sharing the point with us . I'm going to reach out to him and get his thoughts. He probably thought it was our buddy messing with us or something it was so bad

Every lake has a few of them ... the guys who think they own the water.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

I say let the wardens do their job. That's the only way these idiots will learn. If it was a brush pile go drag it off so they can't find it.

There are some on this forum that have done similar, did not understand they were wrong and probably still don't. File and let the warden handle.

1. Let the warden do his thing.

2. Destroy/move brush pile
