A buddy his son and I are going to RC this weekend, never been there. Looking for any advise on ramp issues, boat lanes, cautions while running and yes a resent fishing report would be awesome. Thanks for your help.

All ramps are open, the public ramps stink, but Oakcove is the easiest to get to right on 287 at the bridge. If you are going to the South side the one by the dam is ok. No boat lanes and scattered timber throughout the lake. The South end is relatively open. Bass fishing has been ok some still on beds and some in post spawn mode. Gotta cover lots of water and keep your bait wet.

Just need to get on it and figure it out. The maps available highlite the timber, and there are no really good marked lanes so run with caution up north. There's going to 100+ first timers fishing the High School regional on May 7th. I'm not being rude but it does a disservice to those who actually take time to pre fish to come on and tell kids how and where to catch fish, that's my .02.

Well I guess I ruffled some feathers, not my intention. I'm not looking at this form a HS stand point, kids are grown with babies LOL, I'm just trying to keep from hitting anything, timbers one thing on a map but a BIG thing on the water and they don't always match. As far as the fishing report goes LOL, they are about as reliable as our Federal Government, changes day to day. If you've fished tournaments then you know you can pre-fish the day before and catch a sack full, next day hardly get a bit. That's fishing!!
Thanks for the lake information.
Good Luck to the one's fishing the HS tournament.

With the lake being full or even a little over, a lot of the timber will be hidden. Hopefully everyone operates with caution.
