Just wondering how many of you guys installed your own poles and how difficult it was. Looking the in the back of my boat my biggest concern is where to put the pumps. Can't seem to imagine a spot to put them.

I installed mine in skeeter tzx 200. I believe you will probably be happier paying someone a couple hundred bucks have them do it. The process is not that difficult but I ran into a few problems that cost me fishing days.

Its easy hardest thing is finding were you want to mount the pumps.

I installed mine in about 2 hours and i'm not the most mechanically inclined individual. It's really pretty easy.

2 hours a pole labor rate. Can take longer or less. Where there is a will there's a way. We have built plates to attach the pumps to. Make sure you make clean square cuts on the hoses. tighten the fittings on the pump twice.

Call Chris at Classic Fiberglass in Denton. He installed some for me. I think the going rate assuming you have the bracket already is about $150/pole but don't recall what he charged me before. It's COMPLETELY worth having someone else do it in my opinion.

We (mainly my father and brother) started installing two power pole blades last Friday and worked again on them Saturday. There has been a learning curve for having never installed one before but the main thing that has been run into is not having some of the parts right away, so it has taken some patience as a few additional parts have been ordered. Seems like anyone could install their own with enough time and patience.

Depends on boat and what style brackets. Side plate brackets on a skeeter zx200 with a 24v system. I can do it in less than an hour. If I do not run into an issue. But these issues have to be planned for. They are boats. Waiting to see if OP resolved his problem.

I don't know much about them because I ordered my last week and haven't got them in but I would think they would be 12 volt just to run that little cylanoid on the hydraulic pump which I would use the cranking motor for

More room for pumps. Versus a 36v system.

More room for pumps. Versus a 36v system. Gotcha makes sense. I'm no rocket scientist but they don't look very hard to install, especially with using brackets on a jack plate. Bolt the mount on. Bolt the pole on. Run the hoses where your control wires already go through or drill 2 little holes. Mount the pump. Cut the hoses to length needed, slide the nut and pinch ring on and tighten to their respective ports. Then run the wires to a good 12 volt source. Cycle the pumps after you fill them with oil to bleed them. I don't think I could justify spending 200$ for that.
