So I went out to Benbrook today to try for a few bass and had a question. I haven't been bass fishing for long and am still learning. I usually go after cats.
I was flipping jigs at the recommended places, isolated brush, holes in brush and treelines, stumps, logs, etc, and that's when I started wondering. Do all those spots still work when the water is newly-high? Do the bass move in pretty quickly or do they take awhile to move up to the newly flooded areas?

Newly flooded areas are newly feeding areas and fish tend to move up pretty quickly to take advantage of the new food source (anything that will or wont fit in their mouth is a target). Also, time of year and water temp might factor into how soon they move up and how long they stay but once the smaller baitfish start to move in the rest of the food chain wont be far behind.

Well that's no good. I guess I just suck then. :p
