Carp and gar are doing their thing right now. Kind of a mess in Smith and Blundell.

Is the water level back to normal. Was there two weeks ago water level was down about a foot. The carp were going crazy that day also. Hopefully headed that way in the morning.

Please report back. Thinking about going soon. Anybody heard anything else about them spraying the lake and has it affected it?

The hyacinth was cut back a bunch for a month or two but it's back on a rampage now. It's everywhere and growing strong.

I was up a couple weeks ago, seemed rough. Caught one 4.5 lb at Smith but not a lot else. I didn't see anyone having much luck with bass. Catfish were on though. #GBR

I didn't know anything about them spraying. However that maybe why they dropped the lake level. This was after a big rain so I thought it was odd. There was a lot of floating vegetation on the warm side of the bridge in Blundell two weeks ago.

Didn't end up going. Went to Holbrook instead. Should have gone to Monticello. Was pretty tough for me.

Fished there on "good Friday" Blundell and Smith Creeks were stained north of the RR bridge, from sunup to 11 am we landed one fish out of 6 bites.
Lake was full and grass varied in color, indicating a possible spraying.
