Leaving Rayburn yesterday afternoon and got caught in a traffic jam at the dam. Never seen so many boats and trailers. Local law was directing traffic. Turns out to be weigh-in time for a high school tourney. Really uplifting to see so many kids interested in fishing and a big thumbs up to the parents, friends and volunteers that help these kids out. When I was a kid our biggest fishing challenge was not getting caught trespassing.
To whom much is given, much is required.

High school tourney on squaw a while back had 200 teams. It's amazing to me to see that much participation especially the city kids!

This was the largest crowd I've seen so far this year. Attendance rivaled McDonald's Big Bass Splash. We weighed in 1334 fish from 451 teams and were done at 4:20. I can't say I've seen a better run event anywhere and all volunteers.
