Why is it you'll rarely see any Texas Teams on the FLW shows.. I know our guys can compete, so whats up ??

Most of the tournaments are regional. So maybe you've been seeing tournaments from other regions

Well for one FLW has really pulled tournaments away from Texas. Used to have. whole Texas division with a championship that was in the college fishing hay day. Since then they have lost allot of sponsor money so they had to consolidate tournaments and divisions. Plenty of Texas college clubs putting in some work SFA had a great showing at the first FLW regional on lake Somerville Tyler Woods and his partner got 3rd I believe. Texas A&M also has a huge club and is the reigning national champions for BASS.

Lamar, SFA, Tarleton, Texas A&M, and DBU are always in the top. Problem is we aren't Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, or Mississippi teams where most of the camera men that work for FLW are from. We also don't play the political game as much and just go fish. Things will change when MLF adds their college division to the show.

Also FLW has seemed to stop recording the Conference tournaments. I know a few years ago when my past teammates from SFA won the Southern Conference Championship it was all recorded and made into a show but this past Southern Conference Championship on Grand it wasn't even recorded and DBU won it, SFA came in 4th, Texas A&M in 7th and Tarleton was in 8th. But we all leave for the national championship on lake Keowee in 2 weeks so you should see some Texas teams show up there
