Finally got out of the dang house.
Water temps almost everywhere 52 to 54 degrees.
Saw sporadic schools of fish in groups DEEP. (This according to my HB 1199's )
Could not get them to bite...
Now admittedly, used texas rig watermelon Excite lizard, 1/8 oz weight, 1 1/2" chartreuse square bill, Mark Pack Jig for deeper bite - 1/2 and 1 oz...various skirts.
Did not try a spoon....
Talked to a few others, not many on the lake, they had zero to little success as well.
A few more degrees warming.....bite should turn 'on'.
Well, thought I would share...hope some/any/all of this helps...oh BTW: All of my fishing was in both Carter sloughs, by dam, over not to far from Twin Points launch area.....

God Bless
Lee

Good Morning Lee ! I fished Wednesday afternoon for about 2 hrs. Caught 4 on a Dropshot
fishing around a Marina. I think with this warming trend it will just get better. My back seat is open if you would like to join me sometime.

Jim

Was out last weekend and it looked like every fish in the lake was down at 30 ft.

It's much warmer on the north end of the lake, I was seeing 58* last week and I'm sure it's in the low 60s now. Go north fish

I grew up on Eagle Mountain. I used to know it like the back of my hand. I told my wife that the next time we take a vacation I want to make a trip back up there to see if I can catch some of my releases from 20 years ago. Haha
