War on hydrilla? Only lakes sprayed are Livingston and Conroe. Maybe some others that are developed.

Ummmm. hydrilla isn't natural. It's an invasive species

That is mainly a bi product of trying to eliminate the hydrilla

Don't get me wrong I'm all for hydrilla. But it's far from natural

Heck only one natural lake in Texas

Noting natural about a large earth/stone/concrete dam plugging up a stream holding back billions of gallons of water. Keep the grass, invasive or not.

I live in Walden Plasma800 and I couldn't agree more. They recently sprayed on Toledo Bend a couple of months ago and of course over sprayed and killed most of the grass on the south end of the lake. Sucks because that was my playground during tournaments.

Yeah spraying now is for salvania mostly. And that kills all vegetation.

We wouldn't have the fisheries we have today if it wasn't for TPWD, let them do their work! 450 plus 13 lb fish, there's always Maine or Minnesota!

Completely different ecosystems, smaller, controlled access lakes and trout.

False, lots of other factors effecting grass over there. High water has been the biggest factor. Most spraying now is for salvinia. I'm sure there may be some collateral damage. I am the last one to want a stem of hydrilla effected but anything that will stop salvinia has to be done.

Let's not forget the grass carp that they put in Lake Austin, it has greatly affected the fishing there.
