Anyone have one? sounds like a broom handle. I've never held one but how are they for frog fishing? It has an extra fast tip and i notice most companies go with a fast tip on their frog rods. just wanting some fellow TFF'rs opinions that own the rod. And also is the 735 too limber to throw a frog in the slop?

736 is a great frog rod. Works really good for bigger plastics and jigs. Did I mention its a GREAT frog rod? :-)

Ditto what 361V said. Jigs bigger than 1/2 oz. I pitch jigs 1/2 oz and larger (1/2 oz. with plastic trailer on it). I pitch 3/8s on the 735C and it works great too. So, YES, if you are looking at those presentations, it is a GREAT rod. It is NOT a broom stick, either, but it is stout. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

The 736 is all backbone. I used it for frogs several times but me personally I like the 735 for a frog. The 735 has plenty of backbone and tip. It's by far my favorite frog Rod.

I have been using the 736c for frog fishing for the past 2 - 3 years. I would highly recommend it. The 735c is a good rod as well, but I prefer the 736 for the frog, a bit more backbone in the heavy stuff.
