The best trips I have ever taken are driving into Mexico to Lake Oviachic. It is 7 hours across the boarder from Nogalas, AZ. Customer and friend Dan Polosa just returned to Tuson with a great report. We can always find room for another rig to follow us down on our next trip Jan. 22 and again on Feb. 26. We make it a 10 day adventure with 6 days of fishing. I will take care of you walking you through all the papers and supplies for the trip. Please come join us for the best trip you will ever make with over 100 per day and 50 of those over 5 lbs.

Report:
Dan just returned from Angels lodge on Lake Oviachic (on Sat 1-9).

No problems driving down or back there is some road construction. We Made the drive down from Tuson in 10 hours the drive home was slow due to the US port of entry (4 hour wait in the line)which is normal for the first two New Year weekends, then it will take about one hour to get back across.

Fishing was outstanding all week!!! Water temp was 61-66 . It was chilly and windy most days.. we had one big storm that rolled thru, but it was during the night.

The river yielded several big fish in the 8+ lb. range. For us, the Fishing was very good from the First El Capitan to the river. We caught our bigger fish from the second El Capitan to the mouth of the river. (8.6 on Thursday and an 8.4 on Friday). Each boat had over 50 bass over 5 lbs each day. It just doesn't get much better than that.

Best Baits for us included a Bevy Shad red eyed shad and a Rico. Best fish came on a Bevy Shad in American Shad for color.

Not sure who owns stock in the Whopper Plopper it was a flop! We couldnt turn a fish on that thing.

Several guys in camp did well on a 6 senko in pumpkin with a chartreuse tip.. Other soft plastics producing over 100 Big Bass per day were Brush Hogs and 8" Lizards.

Angel was outstanding, and continues to spoil us

Hope youre travels and fishing go well..

Good luck !!! and best wishes for a Safe and Healthy New Year.

Glad you are getting to go with me David. I know it it difficult to get off work for 10 or 11 days to make this trip; but 6 days of fishing is the way to go on a drive in trip.

Karl and James you guys are next. I look forward to the day you can go to get in on a wonderful Mexico trip. Just let me know and we will work it out to fit your schedule. Anyone needing to fly down to shorten the number of days you are out of work; this can be accomplished also.

If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life,

there'd be a shortage of fishing poles
