Had a buddy there today, not fishing but said he was seeing bass up really shallow in the flooded vegetation. He said he saw one that was a Big-N.
I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

They've been stacked on deep points. Scan around until you see them. When you catch one slow down as there are usually more. If you launch on the lower end before light, take it easy. I was there Monday and there were some widow makers floating from the dam to about Arkansas bend. I haven't found a good bite shallow but I've heard of others doing well. Good luck and post a report. Water temp was 63 on Monday. 12 to 15ft vis on lower end by dam and about 8ft vis mid lake.

Well it was nothing like I expected- not a bite shallow pulled out on to a couple 25-35ft points and caught some fish on drop shot. Biggest one was about 2 1/2 lbs ended up catching 7 fish total. My father in law broke one off about 6lbs on a DT 10 at the end of the morning. It looks good but fishing was slow

Yep......I haven't seen a shallow bite since November. The lake rose 5ft in the past 4 weeks. Those fish are so damn confused. If this rain hits right this weekend it might fill the remainder. As I posted earlier.....best bite I've found has been no shallower that 12ft. When I see them on my HDS, they are usually there for a bit and a c-rig or DS works well.
Once they move up shallow it's going to be pretty damn awesome out there! Nothing super big but the numbers will be incredible!

Lake Travis broke my heart more than once until I discovered the upper lake past Singletary Road. Fishing the banks on the east side, especially around creek mouths proved to be most effective. In fact, my best fish were all caught and released north of Singletary Road.
