I'm thinking about heading down to falcon 3 or 4 days before Christmas. Anyone else thinking about going?

I've been thinking about making a run too, haven'f fished Falcon since I bought my place at Rayburn. If I can get shook loose from work and my wife's knee gets better, she had surgery the other day. I bring my boat back from Rayburn and head down a few days before Christmas if I can.

Big girls are showing up in numbers. One of my friends had 37 pounds the on 12/4 with a 9. My brother weighed a 10.20 for a guy the next day.

We'll be heading down on 12-15. Will be for a little longer that 2-3 days though. Plan on staying until about the first of Feb.

How much has the water come up this year? Not sure when the last time you were down but it's at 16' low. It hasn't been at that level since 2011.

Came down last december but couldn't remember what it was back then lol I was going a lot for a few years but last dec was tuff so we have been hitting Sam Rayburn.

Last Dec the water level was 274
it is now at 284
Falcon Lake Tackle has a nice chart on their web site that shows the water level for the past few years.
the lake is completely different and fishes different than it did a year ago.
